Rehabilitation in River Basins

Aim: The course aims to provide participants of this training with the knowledge and
skills on how to make a feasible and integrated rehabilitation plan for their wetland or (part of the) river basin. Participants will have knowledge of a range of tools for rehabilitation in river basins and learn to apply some of them. They are aware of the necessary steps in planning, implementing, managing and evaluating a rehabilitation process and will enhance their capability to involve stakeholders in the process.

Who can participate: This training has been designed for people working in water or
natural resource management, who are responsible for or involved in the restoration of
river basins. They can work at waterboards, ministries, NGOs, regional governments etc.
Participants can come from any country where rehabilitation in river basins is an issue.
Duration: 1 week online (with a study load of around 50 hours divided over a period of
1 month) and 2 weeks face to face training.

Location: Online week: anywhere, although an internet connection is required; 2 weeks
in The Netherlands or anywhere else (and tailor-made) at request.

In collaboration with: WetCap partnership (especially Rijkswaterstaat RIZA and Wageningen International,Wageningen UR).
