Ramsar Experts Database
The Ramsar Wetland Experts Database was launched by the Ramsar Bureau in 1998 to provide a pool source of wetland consultants and experts. It currently has data on over 300 wetland Experts, however following a recent invitation to existing members of this database to update their details, only about half of this number updated their details. The Database is presently being maintained by Wetlands International, a member of the WETCAP (Wetland Capacity Building Partnership) group and an International Organisation Partner of the Ramsar Convention on Wetlands.
The Ramsar Secretariat has approved that this database be made available via this platform to its registered members and negotiations are ongoing to explore possibilities for platform members to be registered on this resource while maintaining its quality and standards.
